I am currently in the market for a multi-effect pedal, and these two seem just about right for my pricerange. I know everyone here is going crazy over ZOOM right now, which at first lead me to the 606, but I have also been seeing good reviews for the RP-80, when compared to the ZOOM.

After reading the reviews, I have come to the conclusion that the wah sucks on both of them, so I'm not too worried about that. I like to play metal music (think death metal), but would like to have a well-rounded pedal effect-wise. The metal distortion is, however, the most important for me.

If anyone has any pro's or con's for going with either of these two pedals, I would greatly appreciate it.

edit: I just found a deal for the Digitech RP-100 for around the same price, so now that is gonna be thrown in the mix. It doesn't have the big pedal on the side (I guess there's a name for that), but it has some more features and all that good stuff. So now I guess I need to know if the big pedal on the side is really important (I'm not really sure what it does anyway) or if it would be better to go with the RP-100 with more effects but no pedal?
