As for the RP100, if you have any issues, let me/us know. I don't have one at hand, and reading through the manual and having experiences with other equipment, we'll work it out together.

As always, keep it simple and start with something basic - like do a full reset (if possible) and get a basic sound.

Cheers, b.

Hi, welcome to the forums!

I thought I'll spend a few minutes helping you out. Looks like the RP100 doesn't exist anymore on the DigiTech website, so I downloaded the RP150 manual and had a look. Doesn't look too difficult - what exactly is your problem? Can't get any sounds? Can't get the right sound? Provide a few more details of what the problem is and I'll give it a try. Here is a link to the RP100A forum: http://www.digitech.com/soundcomm/guitar_list_messages.asp?productid=201

Actually - found a RP100 user guide on the web. Here we go:

Performance Mode
When you first apply power to the RP100, it will power up in Performance mode. Performance
mode provides access to all of the Presets within the RP100 via the Right and Left
Footswitches. The Parameter 1 (left) knob will adjust the Amp Gain (distortion), the
Parameter 2 (middle) knob will select the Amp Type, and the Parameter 3 (right) knob will
adjust the Master Level (volume).

Select Button - This button is used to enter the Edit mode, and to select individual effect to
be edited. Successive presses of this button will advance through all available
Effects.

Parameter Knobs - The Parameter knobs perform various functions depending on which
mode is currently active in the RP100. In performance mode, these knobs
control the Gain,Amp Type, and Master Level. In Edit mode, these knobs
adjust the Parameter values listed directly above each knob for the selected
effect. In Rhythm Trainer, these knobs control the Pattern,Tempo, and
Level. In Tuner mode, these knobs are used to select the desired tuning
reference.

Ok - for simple playing, start it up, and use the footswitches to change between configured presets. Use the 3 controls to set the Gain,Amp Type, and Master Level. This should get you at least a couple of sounds.

Be careful not to step on both footswitches at once, this will activate the bypass mode and you don't get any effects.

Helpful??? Cheers, b.
Thanx bloos66...this info has been VERY HELPFUL...I was at a guitar store the other day (looking for a portable amp)...had my dulcimer (w/pick-up) & tried one brand that has different settings/effects that are 'built in' to the amp...maybe because of all the strings (in pairs) on the dulcimer...or the hollow trapezoid shape of the instrument......but at one point the gentleman assisting me was able to effect a light (desirable) feedback...along with what other effects he had chosen (?)...and my point? ...I could hold my hand flat (horizontal) roughly 8 to 10 inches above the soundboard (nothing physically
touching the strings)...and the sound produced was like that of a Theremin...I could move my hand around (always horizontal) and make different sounds...it was pretty trippy!

But back to the RP100...I've printed out your advice and will proceed this weekend...thanx again, Daddyfarlessa

I'm using the RP100 with a hammered dulcimer and Pignose amp...any info/referral will help...thanx, Mark

p.s. - I took lessons several years ago for the dulcimer...then life changed & had to cease...starting to pick it up again...my dilemma: my teacher was only geared towards traditional pieces (i.e. - liitle jigs, ballads, etc.)...I want to play it like a santoor...more ambient (Lisa Gerrard - DCD)...with just more effects...got the RP100/Pignose to initially work (my girlfriend said it sounded really 'wicked')...problem was, I achieved the sounds only by accident and could not remember how to duplicate...I read the owner's manual & just get frustrated...
