I rather liked it (mainly because the only other alternatives were marshalls, and I can't stand marshalls).<br><br>Anyway, Being a fender, it had a great clean channel, and quite a harsh distortion channel. Also, that thing is loud! For a little amp it really packs a punch. However, I found it to be quite a noisy amp. There was quite a lot of hum and buzz coming from it, even unplugged.<br><br><br>I think they are perfectly good for a beginner amp.]]></content:encoded>

I find them helpful.<br>When reading reviews you have to remember that one person will say it's the best amp they've ever heard, and the next will say it's the worst. But what you can pick up is details... how loud it is, features etc...<br><br>I've always believed you can make any amp sound good or bad. You have to experiment with it. Believe it or not 15 watts is still loud, you may not be moving as much air as a 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet.  If you turn the preamp gain up to around 8 and the master volume to about 2 1/2 it will get you a nice overdrive distortion.<br><br>joe]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Well let's see, first of all I've never played this amp.  But at 15 watts, yes it is strictly a practice amp.  I've had a few of those.  If you're only going to be playing in your room at home, so to speak, 15 watts is plenty.  If you are planning to go out and play in a band, or jam with friends, you might want to look into at least a 30 watt amp or something even larger.                         <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi all,<br>I know virtually nothing about amps but I have a one-time-only chance to pick up a very cheap Frontman 15-G, with a view to getting an electric guitar in the near future.<br>Can anybody tell me anything about this amp? Is it strictly a practice amp? How loud does it go? (15 Watts, but how loud is that?) Does it have effects capabilities (i.e. can it be used with pedals)? What else do I need to know?<br><br>Sorry if these are stupid questions but as I said, I am an amp newbie and we all have to start somewhere.]]></content:encoded>
