Well, a friend of mine had one, and I've played around with it for a few days for fun. First of all: amazing value for money, let there be no doubts about this. However, depending on your demands, this might not be a perfect solution. The volume pedal (as with pretty much any cheap-multi-effect) is tiny and has a limited range. You can set up a minimum volume, which is nice, and it does function, but not really comfortable.

The chorus is plastic. Fun for playing around in the house, but no way this thing will sound ok when your seriously using it. Compressor is ok, but it seemed to suck more tone then it should. Should you buy it? depends on how much quality you're after. A used Boss Chorus pedal usually goes for around $30 (20GBP?), a used Boss CS2 around $50 and a no-brand volume pedal for around $10 (behringer has a nice volume pedal for around $25). All together you should get what you;re after used for less then 100$, which isn;t that much more then the price of the X V-amp. If you would like to use the other features (modeling, easy recording, other effects, tuner) of the Behringer unit then go for it. Otherwise you might want to consider alternatives.
