                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[If it were me, I'd put the bass at something like 4, mids at 5, and treble at 6.  Your Squier may not be as bad as you think.  It may not be set up properly, and that can ruin any guitar's sound.  It may be an awful guitar, but there's a decent chance it's not.  I have a Squier guitar, and I can honestly tell you that it's great.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Like Preston said, experiment.  That said, this is how I would set it up - <br> turn on the overdrive channel<br>turn gain to 11<br>bass to 8<br>mid to 8<br>treble to 5<br>contour to 10<br>volume (for this channel, not master) 4<br>Delay or Chorus on with a minimum  to medium setting<br>reverb on minimum<br>adjust MASTER volume as necessary<br><br>SOMETHING like that, depending on your guitar sound<br>For your guitar, I would do all tone on 10, volume 10, pickup selector wherever you like depending on the sound you want.<br><br>Good luck, have fun, rock on!]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[thanx alot for the reply well i wanna play a little of everything i can go from listening to rage against the machine to classic rock i really like everything so there isnt just one sound im lookin for but like u said i guess im gonna have to mess around for hours and hours but the only thing is i dont have the greatest guitar i got a squier strat so i dont even know if i can get that great of a sound out of a guitar like that it seems to always get a bad reputation and it always gets out of tune but oh well ill deal with it and hopefully some time soon buy a real fender strat. thanx again]]></content:encoded>

It's one of those things that just requires you to mess around with it for HOURS and HOURS! That's 3/4 of the fun of a new amp ;D !<br><br>Now, if you described what sound you're after... perhaps someone with that amp could offer some tips.<br>Still, your guitar, string size, pick-ups, in-line effects and more can alter that advise.<br><br>As an added Bonus to spending HOURS messing with it, you're likely to stumble across other settings that you like.<br><br>]]></content:encoded>
