    Personally, I think outboard effects are more useful than effects integrated into an amp... and you can keep them if you trade up on the amp, but that is a matter of preference.
   Oh... and the GMX110 isn't due until March '03 according to Musician's Friend.  The $69 X V-amp is due by the end of January, and would give you an amp and effects combo (with the GM110) for $170.  ...and with a small mixer, a decent set up for recording.

Secondly, the GMX (that's with the effects) is going to cost more like USD170, still a savings, but I think Roland has a few more models/effects.

Finally, how long can you wait for a report?
