Weird, Musician's Friend says it has been discontinued. Maybe that's why you're getting a great deal on it? That said, the Valvetronix ones sound great. I haven't played with the VR series much, but I would think the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, so to speak. Yeah, I know it's not all tube, I read the specs.
