I spent a little time (2 years) in Ashaffenburg in the military. I liked Germany a lot, there is so much visible history just about anywhere you go. Besides the history, the beer is fantastic. :D

Enjoy your time here, these are some of the most helpful and nicest people in the world. Never be afraid to ask questions I assure you some one on here can answer them.

Germany's strangely under-represented here at GN, although we have one senior member who lives there, and one of the stalwarts of the Sunday Songwriter's Group is also German. She's a hell of a songwriter, too, and her English is better than most of us who have English as a first language!

I'm PalTino and just recently stumbled upon GuitarNoise via a Google search for "simple guitar solos" (or something like that). Now I am fascinated by all the great tutorials found around here.

About me: I'm from Germany, born in 1976 and living in the town of Hanover. I have started playing the guitar in end of 2002 but have not advanced past camp fire style. And that is something I wish to change hopefully with the kind help of GuitarNoise. I own a nice blue Johnson Western guitar and a Corg electrical, also a Johnson travellers guitar and a very used and not so reliable stratocaster wannabe.
I have also given the banjo a try but did not get very far...
