C&S, you should see a band called Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. They make some of the weirdest intruments I've seen!!

When I was at one of their shows, they had this hybrid violin type thing, it was the neck and bridge of a violin but no body and there was this type of grammaphone horn on it, so when it was played it sounded like it was coming from an old fashioned grammaphone. It was pretty neat.

There was also a home made bass unlike any other, it was a 9ft plank with strings (what stings I don't know, maybe piano???), anyway it was horizontal on a keyboard stand and played with drum sticks.

And as well as drums they had assorted house hold objects, yard junk and barrels for percussion.

The strings are a ROTO-SOUND Swing Bass strings that are almost 5 years old. The bass itself has an uggly sound, but its soooo beautifuL !

http://www.myspace/thewet

i have 3 bass solos playing this bass plugges directly into my computer.
