Hi and welcome to GN. You'll find plenty of lessons to help you improve, alongside our Easy Songs Database. Don't worry about asking questions, you'll always get an answer.

As for your avatar, you'll need a web host for your image. There are plenty of free hosts, some of whom specialise in hosting pictures. To avoid distorting the pages, avatars should be 80 x 80 pixels - there are a plethora of freeware applications that will change the size of your image, to make it fit.

Once you've uploaded your image to your host's web site, you'll need to put the url (internet address, http://....) into your profile. Done.

Here's a list of free image hosting sites (photobucket is one of the most popular)

Hello & intro from a newbie to Guitar Noise.
After 'messing' around with guitar for a good part of my life I have finally commited myself to learning how to play or at least be as good a player as I can be. In the past 2 years I have mainly used 'Learn & Master Guitar' & 'Next Level Guitar' as my learning tools due to my work which means I am away from home for about 10 months a year. So my Strat has some good frequent flyer points accumulated.

I have 2 Fenders, 70's Classic Strat & Jaguar Players Special HH and I recently bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power. My main amp is a Fender 65 Reverb Deluxe & I have a Roland Micro Cube practice amp.
My playing goal is to be good enough to do credit to the Fender & Gibson gear I own :)

I'm a big fan of SRV, Rory Gallagher & Clapton & any Blues, Blues/Rock but also appreciate any music from Classical to Metal. Not sure I really get it with Metal though but each to his own.

Sorry about the Avatar, best I could find & didn't know how to upload from my computer?

Look forward to talking Guitar here.
Slug
