bish, thanks. I really enjoy playing in a band. Never played in one before now, but it's been going well.

dntalb, love Zeppelin! They're my favorite, and Jimmy Page is my biggest influence as a guitarist. welcome to a great forum.
Zeppelin is a big influence for me too. those licks and ideas creep into my playing all the time.
right now I am playing lap steel slide guitar and dobro.

dobro is typically a bluegrass instrument. everyones eyes get bigger when I blues up the bluegrass with a famil;ar nod to Page's licks.
BTW I started guitar when I was your age. youve picked a great instrument (and a great era of rock too).
