I'm new here so here's a little about me!

My name is James, I come from Melbourne, Australia. I had been playing guitar off and on again for a few years, during which I played lead in a few cover bands. But I more or less stopped playing for a few years while at university because I found it hard to find spare time, and the band I was in at the time broke up so I had little in the way of motivation. Also, I got in to a bit of a rut just playing covers without understanding any theory so I never got into making up my own stuff which got frustrating at times.

So, now I'm basically starting from scratch, but this time I plan to learn some theory as well to help me along.

My favorite bands include (in no particular order): Pearl Jam, A Perfect Circle, Faith No More, Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, Metallica, and probably more that escape me right now.

As far as my guitar idol goes, I would probably have to say Mike McCready from Pearl Jam.

Anyways, I look forward to meeting and getting to know the people here!

And I'll probably be heading off to the theory section some time soon to ask a few noob questions.
