Hi, I'm Jim. I'm 48, married with 4 kids. I bought my first guitar at 19 because I wanted to impress a girl. She wasn't impressed. So it pretty much sat in its case until about 1 1/2 years ago. I started learning with a computer program and really started having fun with it. I love the beginner songs (with mp3's). My guitar playing has improved to the point where I just bought a hollow-body electric for Christmas. I'm trying to replicate the early rock 'n' roll sound. I've been having so much fun that my daughter (13) asked for an electric guitar for Christmas, my son (17) pulled his strat out of the closet, and my wife has started strumming my old acoustic!
Anyway, thanks for the site. I love it.
