See, I told you he'd got a life.....whatever that is.....

Good to see you're still with us, Chris! And still sane, by the sound of it.......the break must have done you good. One thing I did, when I was starting out on keyboards: I made a deliberate decision NOT to take any lessons, but rather to apply the musical knowledge I've gained from playing guitar to a keyboard, hoping that rather than sounding like any other pianist, I'd develope my own style....it seems to be working, I call it the "one handed shuffle" - unfortunately, all the hand injuries I've had seem to have have had a rather more detrimental effect on my keyboard playing than on my guitar playing. Then again, keyboards were never going to replace the guitar, or even come close to equalling it - it was only ever going to be an attempt to add a little colour to my recordings.

Is there any instrument you DON'T actually fancy having a go at? One of these days I'm half-expecting you to come up with a recording that'll feature sitar, synthesizer, oud and balalaika......

See you 'round........

Oh and thanks for the unsolicited testimonial........I've just about gotten over the blushing now.....

All the best mate,

:D :D :D

Vic
