The casino gig was a big success. We played last weekend at a local bar and had to tough it out. We played outside. The setup temperature was in the low 80's and by the 3rd set it had dropped back to the 50's.

My drumset went sharp by almost an entire T. :shock: The guitarist could hardly play saying his strings were too cold. So it was a rough night but we stayed until the end. We are also playing this Saturday. I have next weekend off and then both 29th and 30th are booked. The 30th is a bit more than 2 hours away and is for a private party. From there...it's nothing but gig after gig.

They are keeping me as long as I'll stay or they find someone maybe with a closer mindset to what they want.

For now, I'll stick it out unless some serious conflict arises. I have to say honestly that my heart is not in it 100% at this point but maybe that will improve as time goes by.

The band is talking about another guitarist. Oh never mind. I'm sure you guys are too busy. Aren't you out by the border of Illinois and Iowa? Love to play but, man, that's sure would be a long commute to practices or gigs! :shock: I've been thinking about leaving a band I've been with for 3 years because we're not playin' out much these days. Yes, I'm in the Quad Cities...It would be a drive for practice for sure.
