Okay Gig Report

OKay our first gig was the best thing ever!

We played during the best moment of the whole activity. Other groups who played played while everybody set up in their camps, let me explain:

This activity is called "Relay for Life" what people do is they walk on a track for an hour each person, 24 people ( that make up one group ) so they all walk one hour. This place is like a stadium with a big field and a big track around it ( for running) There are like 5 or 6 groups plus all the people that comes to buy stuff and support the groups etcetera. So the other groups played during the actual Relay, and everybody was just idk eating and buying stuff.

But when we played it was a special part: In this part everybody bought a candle and lit it, and each candle represented one life that was lost to cancer ( so it is a really touching moment). Oh yeah all the lights in the stadium are shut off and everything is candle lit. So we played during that moment. We played two of our songs which were kinda rock ballads that were really in the mood. And it started raining ( Solo una Gota ) and normally this would be bad for a gig, but in this case it went with the feeling and it was just great! Everybody in the stadium ( except the people walking ) went to the stage and everybody was there and there was really loud clapping, wow that was awesome.

The band is a guitar, bass, violin, piano, drums and frontman so it's got pretty much everything you need for a rock ballad, and the violin in the intro of the songs really put everything into the mood.

Can anybody tell me how to upload photos ? I really have no idea o.o.

It was great, they told us to come back next year and/or to other activities they do, they'll keep our "manager" in the loop. :D

Oh it is funny because the name " Solo una Gota" came up because every time we play, or rehearse, it rains and pours, and today it did, again. :D
