I wonder what might reverse this trend?
Perhaps a folk revival in pop culture?
Or an ... Idol/ ... got talent winner who plays a simple guitar part on-stage?

Or maybe a global re-awakening to learning skills that take patience and persistence - a new renaissance?


Still, there will always be people (like us) willing to put in the time and have fun actually making music.

The overall trend is pretty much going down. I always got the impression that when Guitar Hero came out in 2005 that more people started playing.
