To self hypnotize just do something like umm...Find a comfortable place where you can be alone and all that.  Just relax your entire body.  I find this to be easier to do when I am laying down.  Relax until you get this kind of pulsing feeling in your body. Try not to concentrate on anything but slowing down your breathing.  Don't breath too slow.  This will take a bit practice until you find your breathing rythm.  Then think with your mind: I WILL life my arm up, I will lift my armn up.
