I was really blown away by the songwriters night version after hearing Nick's intro to the song. There have been some excellent songs submitted by folks over the last four years I have been with GN, but this is among the best :D

:D

Where oh where can I get the tab and lyrics?

Well, all you've got to do is ask:

One By One
- Torres / Hodge

INTRO: Em7 Dadd9 Cadd9 Em7 (repeat until vocals)

        Em7 Dadd9
Put the tape in and push play
Cadd9 Em7
Sit back and watch what used to be
Em7 Dadd9
Hit the remote rewind the times
   Cadd9 Em7
To friends that now are memories
Em7 Dadd9
Kodak moments stuck in books
Cadd9 Em7
A shutter snaps to catch the light
   Em7 Dadd9
Formaldehyde for those who pass
    Cadd9 Em7
And fade away without a fight

    C G
I remember all your names
            Dadd9 Em
And all the dumb things we would say
          Cadd9 Dadd9
Under the lights on any stage
             Cadd9 Em7
While one by one you fade away

INTERLUDE: Solos over INTRO CHORDS

    Em7 Dadd9
And even though I'm not like you
Cadd9 Em7
We all were brothers of the stage
Em7 Dadd9
Sharing the laughs applause and tears
Cadd9 Em7
As one by one you died of AIDS
Em7 Dadd9
And as this show comes to its end
Cadd9 Em7
I don't try to wipe my eyes
  Em7 Dadd9
I just rewind the tape again
      Cadd9 Em7
'Cause I refuse to say goodbye

    C G
I remember all your names
            Dadd9 Em
And all the dumb things we would say
          Cadd9 Dadd9
Under the lights on any stage
             Cadd9 Em7
While one by one you fade away

    C G
I remember all your names
            Dadd9 Em
And all the dumb things we would say
          Cadd9 Dadd9
Under the lights on any stage
             Cadd9 Em7
While one by one you fade away

INTERLUDE: Solos over INTRO CHORDS

    C G
I remember all your names
            Dadd9 Em
And all the dumb things we would say
          Cadd9 Dadd9
Under the lights on any stage
             Cadd9 Em7
While one by one you fade away

    C G
I remember all your names
            Dadd9 Em
And all the dumb things we would say
          Cadd9 Dadd9
Under the lights on any stage
             Cadd9 Em7
While one by one you fade away

OUTRO: Solos over INTRO CHORDS

Chord voicings are simple, open position as follows:

Em7 - 022030
Dadd9 - xx0230
Cadd9 - x32030

C, G and Em just the usual way.

And Chris, along with Kathy Reichert's set, this had to be one of the big highlights of the night. I don't think we've ever played it that well and it was truly magical. We've set ourselves a high standard to compare any performance to.

Glad you liked it. And hope you play it for others!

Peace
