Hi everyone. I'm back home, although mostly resting. Surgery went well. 2 1/2 hours. I'll post more later. Too tired.

Glad to hear things went well.

Of course we want all the gory details but get your rest first.

Excellent news! Let's hope the full recovery time is similarly curtailed!

Alrighty. (non-gory) details. I was Chronic Mastoiditis for sure. It was caused by the middle ear not being fully developed as a young child. Not sure yet if it got ride of all the headaches or not as surgical pains cover much up right now. We're hopeful, that's for sure.

I've got some silly plastic cup on the side of my head for now, and we go in on Monday to get the full scoop on everything.

Thanks to everyone here for sending or posting notes. It's been nice to have those kinds of wishes from so many good people.

Sounds like the tough part is over.
Mopping up is all that's left now.
Keep your chin up ( or does that hurt?)

You are in our thoughts.

Yeah, it's getting better and better every few hours it seems like. A few minor things, but going well all in all. My wife told me that the surgeon told her that he's never seen anything like it. He's been doing ear surgery for 37 years. Yikes!
