I would really appreciate a good guitar book for morons like myself. An idiots guide is probably still above my level of comprehension. The only saving grace in my hap-hazard attempts at learning/playing guitar in any kind of reasonable fashion, have been the lessons here at Guitar Noise. I think I'm almost ready to be a beginer. Unfortunately I'm probably one of those people who would benefit from the interaction of lessons, but after a full day at work, taking care of home and family, I just don't have the time for guitar lessons. So I find the lessons and the MP3's here a vital source.

David you really do have a magical way of explaining things, I'm in no doubt that your book/s will be fabulous and a benefit to all.

The only tink missing is a CD with demos & backing tracks.

The way I would REALLY like a book like this to be made would be similar to the way Guitar World does their video cds to compliment the lessons in the magazine. This way you have visual as well as auuditory & print examples. If your book is even 1/2 as good as the lessons here, then it will be well worth his while! I will review it with him and try to help him through anything he doesn't understand. If I don't get it either, you will be getting an email, for sure!

I just bought a used bass on a lark, and read through your "Money" lesson on Friday and could actually play that on the bass in an hour! Crazy! I might be better suited for the four-string! Anyway... since I just picked up my first bass ever, I'll gladly pick up a "how-to" book as well.
