Well, pedal, er, lap steel is part of that whole 40s, 50s, 60s traditional sound, but we didn't have a steel guy this time 'round. Well, lap steel (non pedal) was there first, but there's lot of cool old stuff featuring pedal steel. Both great sounds. Maybe next album we'll have a steel guy - me!

Like I told the guys in the Tunings/Slide room, I just CAN'T put that little Harmony lap steel down! Hehe, I mean you play it, well in your lap, and so sitting on the couch...it's just perfect.

But only maybe. If I can't get halfway decent on it then no go.

Can't stand in the way of the music.

And yah, on the tunes (you can also hear them at audiostreet and soundclick) I play everything but the ukes and the flutesb (which Sunny does.) The bass parts were really fun to do this time around because the feel of the tunes was that sorta 'backyard luau' sort of party feel. I always look forward to laying the bass tracks after Sunny's done the main ukes and vocals because, well, that's just me :)
