I ended up getting a FloorPod PLus<br><a href="http://line6.com/floorpodplus/">http://line6.com/floorpodplus/</a><br><br>As it was pretty reduced at Â£139 from SoundControl.<br><br>The 'demos' seemed good, and I think it will suit my needs apart from not being able to edit tones on the computer.<br><br><br>If i don't like It I can always ebay it and look into some of the other models you have suggested. .]]></content:encoded>

The Tonelab is great, if you can get it used go for it. If you have to buy new you might want to check the Zoom G2 units. In it's priceclass it is by far the most modern and technically superior.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hate to throw a spanner in the works, but I tried the Line 6 and was distinctly underwhelmed.  i'm a big fan of light bluesy overdrive, and found for that it really struggled - was pretty good on superclean and huge distortion, but that just wasn't what I was looking for.<br><br>It's slightly out of your budget, but if you can stretch I'd highly recommend taking at look at the Vox Tonelab LE, or even an older SE model.  It has all the facilities you want, plus a few extra pedals to keep you jumping around!<br><br>Of course, if you're after clean or distorted, even I'd have to say the Line 6 is probably your best bet!]]></content:encoded>
