Adding a pickup is going to cost the manufacturer money and to keep the price down (below your 200 pound budget) the manufacturer has to be cutting corners somewhere else.<br><br>You might want to extend your search to include the Godin family of acoustic guitars.  They make the Seagull brand acoustic - I have an M6 but on your budget you might want to look at the S6.  If the Seagull is too expensive Godin also makes a more value brand called Norman.]]></content:encoded>

You must play them and feel how they sound and how they are for you. Sometimes we abuse of the lists and catalogues.<br><br>And if you don't need play plugged, don't buy an electro/acosutic. I have to agree with TL.  I played entry level guitars for years and was never satisfied with the sound.  My wife finally told me to stop whining and splurge to buy what I really wanted to play.  Well, I didn't splurge quite as much as I would have liked, but I did buy a solid Takamine A/E that I am very pleased with.  It has encouraged me to play and learn more.
