You might want to extend your search to include the Godin family of acoustic guitars. They make the Seagull brand acoustic - I have an M6 but on your budget you might want to look at the S6. +1 on spend you money on solid (make sure the literature says exactly "solid" spruce or cedar -- not select) top acoustic only guitar, unless you always will use it plugged in.

I agree with TwistedLefty, go to a store and try the guitars. You must play them and feel how they sound and how they are for you. Sometimes we abuse of the lists and catalogues.

And if you don't need play plugged, don't buy an electro/acosutic. Save the money or go the a better guitar.
