Must have been a very slow news day. I remember thinking "Banana Splits" first time I heard "Buffalo Soldier" - the BS theme was the first tune I ever learned on recorder!

I was JUST talking about The Banana Splits show today with a co-worker!

I was trying to explain about The Sour Grapes Bunch 8)

He had never heard of them :shock:

The Arabian Knights, Danger Island (with Jan Michael Vincent!)

My parents were 'members' of the Banana Splits Club.
They claimed to have been to the Amusment park that they filmed the opening/close at.... somewhere in Ohio I think.

'68.... that answers that for me.
I told him it was from the late 60's.
Based on TV shows going color in 67, and the 'Go-Go' dancing Sour Grapes Bunch.
