(What a fantastic sounding cd.) Well worth the wait<br><br>Buddy is brilliant on this latest venture although e has guest guitarists, he is doing the majority of the lead guitar parts and he hasn't lost any of his skills.<br><br>I can thoroughly recomend this album to all his fans. Bloomfield lays down the best classic licks youve ever heard.<br><br>Clapton did listen to the early Chicago blues guys. Listening to Hoodooman Blues I find it hard to see an influence on the Cream, other than the blues.<br><br>Bloomfield did another great album called SuperSessions.<br>he plays with Steve Stills and Al Cooper (organ).another classic.<br><br>Buddy Guy and Junior Wells have several albums out. any of them are good, but HooDooman is the greatest.]]></content:encoded>

He was just sitting at the bar listening, and I was playing with some other folks.  I sat down next to him, ordered a beer, and we talked about music.  He told me we'd get together and jam when he got back from Europe - that never happened... it was the only time I ever saw hiim, and he was dead in a year or so after that.]]></content:encoded>

About two years ago on the BET Jazz channel they showed a thing on the Chicago blues scene that looks like it was filmed in the 60s or 70s, and they showed a bunch of footage of Buddy and Junior playing in a bar pretty much exactly like you described.  They haven't shown that program since as far as I know, but it was cool to see Buddy in that atmosphere.  <br><br>Not to take this too far away from the topic, but do you remember any of your conversation with Bloomfield?  Did you even know it was him at the time?  What was he like?  He's become one of my absolute favorites, but there's not that much info about him out there.]]></content:encoded>

Yeah, I was green too - from inexperience.  I was probably 19 or 20 - the drinking age in IL then was 19 for beer &amp; wine so I could get into those clubs.  Sure wish I'd been more accomplished then so I could have taken better advantage of the opportunities.]]></content:encoded>
