Seriously, it's, to me, musically of the same standard as Britney Spears and the likes. A handfull of lame chords, a melody that a java tool could generate and uninspired lyrics.

On itself nothing, as long as you don't call her the world's greatest songwriter. :P
Hey, how does the video end? I nodded off about 1/2 way through...

P.S. What's wrong with Britney Spears?
She has a terrible hair stylist.

I'll be in CT in a couple weeks ... bringing my mandolin to your house and will play this song non-stop!
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
slej,
I'd be dead in about a minute. I don't mind the sound of a mandolin but for some reason in that song it irritates me to no end.
Didn't mean to offend you, if you like the song that's cool, but man it suxs big time.

I saw a commercial with him in it singing the song and I thought that was more than enough. It sounds better as a jingle than a full song.
Anyway, for what it's worth, this one's growing on me.....catchy as hell isn't it!
:D :D :D

I still think Macca is the master of hooks in pop music.
Agreed.

I'm digging the new album, I think it has a much better set of songs than I honestly expected from Paul after all these years. "Dance Tonight" took a bit to grow on me but it's catchy as hell!
Simple lyrics and a short, hooky song are not a problem for me, especially from Paul. That's what he does best!
"House of Wax" is probably my favorite track, the guitars ripping it up at the end is great.

Paul, Paul, Paul. you lost me on this one. you write a song about living alone; kicking around your old house. snore.
then you like to wear vintage clothes. snore.
then the tuneless whistling; I jammed a pencil in my ears to feel better.
sorry mates, Memory should be forgotten.
Well I quite liked the album, his last few in fact Chaos and Creation, Driving Rain, Flaming Pie and Run Devil Run was a great rocker too..
And how about some of his concert dvd's like Live in Red Square......Ole Sir Paul can still ROCK !
But the again I am a Beatlephile :)

I know a little bit about a lot of things, but not a lot about anything...
Looking for people to jam with in Sydney Oz.......
Robert Christgau of the RS liked it well enough -- Rolling Stone Review. And Steven Erlewine liked it wel enough as well, as his review on Billboard's homepage suggests: Billboard Review. It's charted at number 3 on their chart. I'm pleased to see that it's getting decent reviews and doing well.
