Black Horse and Cherry Tree- KT Tunsall(sp)?

Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.

i love the Alter Bridge album, my old roommate thought it was annoying noise though.

Newer than that, i LOVE Sugar We're Going Down by Fall Out Boy

I don't like Seether, but on Wednesday, i heard a girl in my school's music room playing bass and there was a guy on acoustic, and she was singing a Seether song (dunno which one) and she had the absolute most unique, almost angelic voice ive ever heard. it was almost surreal. some of those kids, despite their problems, are absolute musical geniuses.

btw, i teach in a school for the motivationally challenged.

anywasys, i have yet to hear the new Franz Ferdinand CD, asked for it for christmas, and im excited to give it a listen.

Mine is defitely photograph by Nickelback. I rarely get to here it but im afraid that it will be one of those that I tire of quick. A lot of the newer songs are like that for me. It's the classics that stick with you forever.

I don't know any new songs.

Me neither.

I just read through this thread and I'd never even heard of a single song that was mentioned, let alone listened to it.

I rarely watch TV or listen to the radio, so I just never hear the new stuff. I do occasionally ask at the local CD shop if he can recommend anything new that might still be worth listening to in 5 years time and he just grins and shrugs.... :?

Clearly it's time for me to stomp back to the hidden valley where I live with the rest of the lost tribe of dinosaurs...

Cheers, Chris

Two words for those of you in the US: Satellite Radio. It is worth the monthly subscription to get bleeding edge, oldies, classic anything, in nearly any genre sans commercials. You will hear new music. You will hear your fave old music. You will love it. You will never go back to commercial radio. I cannot end this with a disclaimer, because I'm lucky enough to work in this business -- and it's music, technology and coolness all rolled into one.

I pretty much gave up radio 1 for dead about 15 years ago...it just occured to me, my fave programmes THEN were oldies shows....Then Richard Branson started Vigin Radio, that was great for a couple of years...a mixture of Classic Rock and new stuff....well at least it was great till Chris Evans bought him out, then it went downhill faster than a Porsche on a greased slope....

These days I listen to two stations almost exclusively....Planet Rock (Real Classic Rock Music) and Capital Gold (Classic Pop Music) - sorry, but the new stuff doesn't get much of a look in....I'm still catching up with country and blues....

:D :D :D
