Haha Ponce, thats in the south, I live in Carolina, near San Juan, I may be too young but Im goning to be playing in the bars there pretty soon ( or I hope :P ). Yeah it does get a bit warm sometimes. Maybe when you come back you can go see my future band playing in some bar in San Juan :D.

You got the girls to come listen & even got paid? Way to go! 8) Yep ^^, it was a whole dollar, but I split it with my friend haha. I spent some time in PR years ago when my sister was living there. Most of it was in Ponce but we traveled the whole island. I loved it...maybe a little warm sometimes but very nice. But nah I wasnt nervous, Im confident in my playing. Lol breaking into the school talent isnt going to be that easy, its currently vacated by my friend who I play guitar with, hes one of those rockers that uses alot of tricks on the guitar, and alot of those rock licks that you can find off the internet, he sounds great but atleast I find his playing a little shallow because he always uses those licks, but not anybody else xD.

Me on the other hand, I like to use all the notes I can, like for example I like to use the maj 7 notes and the 4th in the major scale, which are the notes to ;watch out; for xD, I just like how they go against it, but maybe some people wont like that sound, but what I figure is that is my style some will like it others wont. I can do rock licks and blues lick also, but I dont like it lol, it feels shallow its like falling for the young ;gifted; blonde, but Im in love with a Brunnete that wears glasses and you need to really search for that beauty, but when you find it :O ( that was all an analogy o.o ).


The thing I notice is that most of the songs we are playing I made up ( except the blues in E, thats universal :O) Im like Paul Mcartney and my friend is John Lennon. Cause Lennon was like ( from my point of view ) more famous, but Paul was the mastermind behind the scheme.

Because my friend already has a reputation for being a guitarrist because he played last year with the band in a few events at school. So he is like almighty god of guitar in the school ( remember I am new :P ). Its like the other day we were playing around, yes we play around with the guitar alot, and we decided I was going to play a melody of mine, and he was going to play the bassline on the same guitar ( something we saw on TV o.o ), so there were other people around, and they asked him, oh are you helping him play the guitar ? I never got paid for a gig, but it doesn't matter, I had some donations however, while I was actually trying TO donate. Don't know if that makes sense. :shock:

Anyhow, thanks for asking, my memory has faded with a few kicks in the head :? , but anywhoooo, my first gig was when I was somewhere around 15 to 17 at my High School, in an assembly, in front of 1300 people - ouch, for the first time! I don't remember it, but it went very well. I came out of nowhere since I had not even played before, and some nice person wrote in the Yearbook that I broke into the School's talent lineup, previously occupied by just one person, and a really great guy!

So you can do that too, I'm sure. But hey, you never know where the story will end, if you do it again?

Then I got the lead part singing in a play, or actually a Musical which went on for several nights, where I just carried my guitar as a prop, singing with an orchestra at the School, except at night, and before the general public.

A TV Scout was there, and I got offered a 30 minute TV show. That was fast. Took it, and it was a blast.
