Different. That's for sure.<br><br>I was actually lucky enough to have seen SRV in concert. Once.<br><br>I can't believe that any of Clapton's stuff from the Bluesbreakers Beano album isn't on the list.<br>His best playing without a doubt.<br><br>Especially: Double Crossing Time.<br>And what I think to be the best solo on that album; Have You Heard<br><br>I also think Janis' 'Ball and Chain' has a great solo - James Gurley/Sam Andrew. One of Clapton's best solos, and one of the Beatles/George Harrison's best songs. Also, I just listened to Alvin Green at Woodstock two days ago. You are right, it was possibly the best performance there. Great stuff. Not a bad list, but I can't believe they put Slash at number 2...maybe number 5 or 6, but 2? Oh well. I don't think SRV had a studio version. I still prefer Hendrix's version of Voodoo, but Third Stone beats Hendrix's version. This is blasphemy, and Hendrix was my idol starting out, but I agree, Stevie's version is better.
