Yes, it was mostly very late 60's to mid 70's models that suffered. But even among those, there are a few examples of good -- and certainly beloved -- ones.

I have an early ('82?) G&L with a 3-bolt Micro-tilt neck. It too works very well and rarely goes out of tune.
