Theres been a lot of press about him in the tabloids in England but not too much over here in Australia but by the sounds of it the guy is a bit of a prick...however, hes knocked out a couple of cracking albums with The Libertines and has another one in the pipeline with Babyshambles (both produced by ex Clash guitarist Mick Jones)- some of the wittiest lyrics Ive heard for a long time...

maybe I should move this to the 'Unabashed site or product promotion forum'..

The last two hours were highlights from London (mostly).

Although, I heard a Live Cream Song (White Room), on the Radio the next day. And the radio announcer did say it was the Cream Reunion. So unless he forgot to leave out that it was the Cream Reunion at the RAH. I assumed it was from Live8.

Looks like I heard wrong (or the announcer screwed up). Usually Clapton plays at every fund, benefit concert there is, so I just assumed it might have been possible.

The look on Elton's face when Docherty appeared, with a lighter in his mouth. Looked so drunk (or worse....) and didn't seem to know half the words. I am sure Elton signalled to the band to cut it short.

Totally agree, he ruined it. And he's meant to be one of the young "talents" out there.

Seems to me the "old farts" at Live 8 did a great job of making some of the yound pretenders look second rate. Maybe that's why there is a switch to proper music again, like jazz. Jamie Cullum for instance, knows his stuff and is excellent. Maybe even the masses are getting cheesed off with the same old boy / girl bands churning out the same old formula crap.

Hope so anyway! ha ha

Matt
