BTW, a lot of slide players like the old cheap-@ss pups from Teiscos, Silvertones and similar. Probably because most of these are wound on short, wide bobbins and have pretty strong magnets. It's a great sounding guitar, especially for slide.

Back in the early 90's I blew my amp up twice with mine....
I just couldn't get a clean enough sound on the 'clean' channel with it,
so I plugged it into one of the other jacks (other than the guitar imputs).
Got the cleanest sound possible.... ended up blowing something in the process.
SO, it's got a real nice sound without any coloration; nice for the blues.

The neck doesn't have a truss rod, and it rarely stays in tune long.... horrid with weather changes :evil:

The pup seems to be just a magnet - no windings.
Perhaps Greg could elaborate on that.

Completely hollow body, flat top.

Nice guitar though.... I've had mine for about 30 years now.

Other than color, the biggest differences I spot are angle of marque on the headstock, control plate's detailed shape and pup rings. Looks very Harmony-ish to me based on knobs and pups that resemble those of the Harmony Rocket. Looked around the web, and think it may be a version of the H49 Jupiter Stratotone. Here's a modern version that's not exactly the same, but with many close similarities:
