I'm with the others on the whole wait to decide to see what you play thing. That alone could be the basis for your band name. Something like "Whatever We Feel Like" or "The We Want". I mean, if you're gonna name your band the forgotten dolls, some people might think of the NY Dolls punk band from back when I was young. Name yourself something like that and you'll have a bunch of heavily peirced goth chicks throwing their penicillin at you once you break into the Barry Manilow covers Kennyrogers2 loves so much. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

of course, there's the whole 'gotta play lots of overplayed stuff to get gigs'........sounds good in theory, though. :|

I like AM because it is simple, is not self conscious (as are the other names).
one problem AM could be misconstrued to mean AM radio. who l;istens to that nowadays?

Fragments sounds retro. kind of nice tho.

Me and my friend are starting a band, but cant decide on a name. so i thought id ask for help :) me like "The Grammagnostics"

I agree with David. I'd wait until I knew what kind of music we were going to play, what everyone's personalities/quirks are, then name the band accordingly. It's hard to name something when you don't know the personality of it yet.

Don't let this lapse into silliness...

Of the listed choices, the Fragments sounds best. But all of these choices seem to have connotations in terms of musical stylings. "Nevermind," for instance, sounds like a name for a Nirvana tribute band. You might want to think about this some more. Waiting until you come up with something you like can't hurt.

And of course there are any number of bands that have changed their names...
