PJ, I'm a little dissapointed. I was really hoping for either a passing return to their earlier stuff, or something that I could listen to and tell that they are growing. There are hints of this, but really, it's only in Vedders songs, and he only has like 3. I'm sure the album will grow on me, but I don't think it should have been The self titled album. I've always liked Pearl Jam. Never LOVED them, but they certainly have been the one Seattle band that stood the test of time. I played Vitalogy about 500 times when it first came out. I've never been a big Peppers fan also. I love Scar Tissue, and Otherside, as well as a couple others, but on the otherside, there are many songs by them that I don't care for.

As for Pearl Jam, I dearly love them. My screen name and avatar can atest to that. I loved the 1st Tool album, but I've kinda distanced myself from the newer stuff. Can't really relate.

Never been much of a Peppers fan. A few tunes are cool, but overall they don't "do it" for me.
