Buddy's playing on this album is his early stuff. quieter, cleaner, and way bluesy. so tasteful too.
coupled with Junior's harp[ playing they cover some great standards.

BB was a bit of a disappointment I think it's time for him to retire. The band was tight and sounded great but BB mostly talks and it barely seemed like he played much.

Must listen to:Buddy Guy, Live at the Checkerboard Lounge

So awesome. I think Buddy is one of the best blues vocalists (blows away BB King in my opinion). The only thing I don't like about Buddy is sometimes I think he gets TOO into it and tries to play faster than he can, and the notes get too sloppy. But when he's got it he's really got it.

Personally, I stick with the early Buddy. Just my opinion, but I don't care much at all for his later stuff. His tone now, to me, is just very shrill and piercing. I also think his voice was a lot better then, and I think he took his playing much more seriously than he does now. He gets REALLY sloppy nowadays. Early stuff. Tracks I think are particularly good include First Time I Met The Blues, Every Girl I See, Stone Crazy, When My Left Eye Jumps, 10 Years Ago, I Got A Strange Feeling, and I Got My Eyes On You.
