He's joined me and a friend's Friday night acoustic jam and we're having a blast. The 3 of us are wanting to do the FAWM challenge (write 14 songs in the month of Feb). With our available time, there's no way we'll finish it, but it gives us a challenge and a goal. Especially since I'm the only one who has really ever written lyrics. Whenever my son and I have recorded, I have everything ready for him and he just has to play his part and be done. Sounds like you could do pretty much the same.

It will work well cause that is 80% of the work for me and he can do his bass parts when he has the time. We are still gonna do plenty of covers Chris, we love them! Just won't have to practice them to get them to performance specs is all. Not like we want to do origonal stuff live. I dug up our old CD and we both got to thinking. Many of you have probably heard this but here is one of our gems from that CD we did way back when!

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11388585

Thats TF like 8 years ago! Back in the day I tried that...didn't work out to well I ended up dropping out of college for a couple years to work. (At the time I had a really good job and was making mad money for an 18 yo kid with no bills) reality finally hit though and I went back to school.

At least you two are on the same page musically. I've never really done anything with my daughter and you see by the video I posted the girl can sing but we just have different tastes in music.

I know I'm a strange person in my likes dislikes I really don't have any desire to record etc so that's not an option for me.

If this band were to fall apart I'm not sure what I'd do. I still play a little but noodling around by myself would get old real quick and I'd probably just put all my equipment away. But I guess I have met enough people now that I could attempt to start up again but that's not alot of fun either constantly starting from scratch.

I would imagine you would really need to work to find people, like Craigslist, going to open mics etc., post somethign at work and might mean you have to travel a bit to practice.

I have about a 35 min ride when we practice now, not as convinient as when we did it in my basement but it's what I need to do if I want to keep this band together and get out there.

If that's not an option and you want to write originals go for it man whatever makes you happy.

We had a drummer last year, and then were without. RIP Tommy! We then moved foreward with backing tracks to the point where we had 2 sets of music ready to go. There is a problem. My son works nearly full time and is a full time student as well. College started back up today, he doesn't really have the time to practice as much as we need to. No where near the time I have. He has expressed a desire to record origional music. It has been (gasp!) 8 years since we released our debut CD as T-n-T. I plan to re-upload it if anyone is interested in listening that may have missed it. Well, time to get off my dead tuckus and write some music too. Our skill level and equipment has grown exponentially since our last effort as well. What do you think? Is the world ready for a new Wicked Fester album?
