Uh, okay. I say get whatever you want and if you don't like it, post a review somewhere and let the rest of us know. You're talking, what $20 - $35, just get something to try and keep your axe tuned. Nothing is perfect. You may get a great tuner and then find your tuning keys slip, or your nut is pinching the strings and you go out of tune that way, or your intonation is off after the 12th fret because your bridge is a 1/4 off. There are no perfect answers, gut feeling might be best!

I got my nephew the Korg TM-40 combo tuner/metronome and he has had no problems but it is larger than the CA-30 but it's smaller than taking both the separate Korg tuner and metronome if you want both.

I recently picked up the Peterson StroboStomp and I like that a lot. It tunes a lot more accurately than the Korg, it's got some interesting "sweetened" tunings, and the pedal form is more useful. It's also a lot more expensive and bigger.

One of the guys in my guitar workshop group uses the Planet Waves pedal tuner and likes it. I heard that Planet Waves is going to put their desktop strobe tuner into a pedal form in the near future.

I'm sure that's just a learning curve though, I don't get on with most tuners until I've sussed how they signal sharp/flat notes (e.g. A sharp). just tried tuning my guitar and ended up with a weird jazz chord when I was done cos I didn't realise I'd tuned half the strings a semitone sharp. :?
