I also got into Bright Eyes via the net, altho' he's well known in the US, not so in the UK. And youtube got me introduced to Anthony Hamilton, some dude who influenced Tim Buckley (Leon Thomas, I think he's called), and a lot of Chris Whitley's stuff. I got the album Dirt Floor years back off the back of Scrapyard Lullaby being featured on the cd of a guitar mag, but he's impossible to get hold of over here. and if you like ska music, check out the Liverpool band The Amnesiacs.
