So all of the music I listen to is either low profile/indie types or, bands that no one (in my area) has heard of. Some good, some bad. <br><br>Have been listening to this guy for some time now.                         <content:encoded><![CDATA[my mate Ben Leyland has a great voice and writes some awesome lyrics - <a href="http://www.myspace.com/benleyland">http://www.myspace.com/benleyland</a>  The recordings are pretty informal and he's just moved to the US, but its deffo worth a listen, IMO.<br><br>I also got into Bright Eyes via the net, altho' he's well known in the US, not so in the UK. And youtube got me introduced to Anthony Hamilton, some dude who influenced Tim Buckley (Leon Thomas, I think he's called), and a lot of Chris Whitley's stuff. I got the album Dirt Floor years back off the back of Scrapyard Lullaby being featured on the cd of a guitar mag, but he's impossible to get hold of over here. and if you like ska music, check out the Liverpool band The Amnesiacs.<br><br><br>oh, and facebook got me into an american jazz band who have done arrangements f Bjork's tunes, and they rock!! they're called the Bjorkestra.]]></content:encoded>
