It is a good guitar for the money, for sure. I am just now getting to the point to realize the pick ups could use an upgrade, but overall, you get great value for the $160 bucks (they've gone up $10 since I bought mine in July, fwiw).

As for the SX you referenced, it would probably be ok. No idea on the preamp. Personally, I have a problem buying any acoustic online, never having played it.
