Well look at this piece of vintage film. It might give you some idea. One of their last performances at the original Cavern Club, Mathew Street, Liverpool. 22nd August 1962. Ringo had not been with them long. If you look carefully at his drum kit it say's Ringo Starr not The Beatles. This is nearly two years before they made it big in the USA

Even this piece of old black and white film conveys the electric atmosphere they created. You can certainly see the sweat and almost smell it. Apparently it used to condence and run down the walls on long beat nights.

They are playing a great Cavern favourite "Some Other Guy" all the local beat groups played it. The Cavern compare Bob Wooller is giving the introduction I think. Also I think it is taken from a BBC documentry that examined the beat scene in Liverpool at the time. Wish I'd seen it then. But I was probably tucked up in bed as I was only 8- 3/4 years old.
