"Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree" - pah, spit, pass me the chuck bucket.

It's not the worst song ever played on tv/ radio - that accolade belongs to anything rolled out by the Osmonds (whether as the group or any one of them individually)

Then there's the St Winifred's School Choir, complete with lisps, singing that awful "There's no-one quite like Grandma". How about the Spice Girls - you guys in the States were so lucky you didn't get them inflicted on you; they were sooooooooooooooooooooo bad they make rap look good.

I don't mind Celine Dion. I have the "New day has come" album.

Best,

A :-)

Not really a song released by an artist but that Barney and Friends theme song drives me freakin crazy.

Barney: You love me i love you were one happy family..........

Scene setup:-- Terminator walks in with rail gun and cigar in mouth --

The Terminator: what is this love stuff anyway

And all the things you said to me
I need your arms to welcome me

So many songs, so little time.

Bay City Rollers - Saturday Night

Anything by Barry Manillow

Funny story - I was asking my 11 year old nephew if he listened to music. When he said 'yes', I asked him what he listened to. (just making conversation). He said he listened to whatever was on the radio. I asked him if he listened to the same music his parents listened to (my sister and her husband). And he exclaimed, No WAY, Not that Cheeseburger song. Who sings about a Cheeseburger anyway???? How rediculous is THAT !!!!

So I guess I have to add Jimmy Buffet's Cheeseburger in Paradise to the list for my nephew.

We Built This City on Rock and Roll...makes me scream in pain.

I also despise anything rap-related...and Phil Collins. Drum, Phil, don't sing.

I was a big Jefferson Airplane fan, but have to agree with "Built this City", It really SUCKS--the dog

Jonathan King deserves his own little niche in music history for the absolute twaddle he's perpetrated on the public over the years - from Everyone's gone to the moon to Una Paloma Blanca, from Loop-di-love to Johnny Reggae, from a dire instrumental version of Sugar Sugar that sounded like it was played with a comb and paper to Leap up and down wave your knickers in the air....

There are lots more, but thankfully I've forgotten most of them.....

Unfortuntely, his criminal record has nothing to do with music....

Although he made some criminally bad records....

Got to agree with "anything sung by Phil Collins." Lord, I hate to hear that man sing.

Whew, catching the end of this thread too. Well, here goes.

Moai, that Celine Dion sopng is the one from the titantic movie.

I agree with those who mentioned any of the new female singers. They sing like their giving birth to an epileptic toaster. Still, I wouldn't toss Mariah Carey outta da hay just for singing.

I can handle some of just about any kind of music, but the new hip-hop stuff has to be the worst pop music this country has ever seen. My own opinion of course.

I liked America's version of Muskrat Love better.

Now, for my worst song ever ....... that song by Cher a few years back. "Do You Beleive In Life After Love", or whattheheckever it was called. That techno voice thing drove me nuts. Might have been a good tune otherwise.
