                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[My girlfriend gave me the book 'Lies My Music Teacher Told Me' by Gerald Eskelin last Christmas. The title can be strange but it try to emphasize the topics usually covered by other authors, books and teachers which are not <I>completely true</I>. For example, one of the first topics is the well-tempered versus natural scales. Usually we consider the well-tempered scale as the one scale and all the intervals and relationships between its notes like the truth and not like a reference.<br><br>The explanations are clear and I am understanding a lot of things in a better way than reading <I>normal</I> theory books. The examples are also clear and correctly selected.<br><br>I'd like to read other opinions about this book, mainly by our teachers. :D<br><br>Nuno]]></content:encoded>
