                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I knew I'd seen this before somewhere......about playing the intro on the 2nd 3rd &amp; 4th strings.....<br>Talking about commonalities between Open G and standard, you can play Freebird entirely on the 2nd-4th strings, so it's the same in either tuning if you're a good string muter.

Altered chords like a minor or sus can be done by fretting the second string behind or ahead of the slide. (Ahead only if you have the slide on a finger other than your pinky, like the ring finger.) All sorts of chords can be fretted without the slide, as banjo players do. (They're usually tuned in a version of Open G.)]]></content:encoded>
