on old Fenders where the wear pattern is all over the first three frets it is called cowboy chord wear. or cowboy wear. (in standard tuning too)<br>that is because most of the playing was down there. lots of C, F and G.<br>another position is the Am pentatonic which plays neatly over C. I call it A minor blues applied to C major cowboy.<br><br>another thing to learn...and I sure would love to...is the Nashville style. lots of picking from a chord shape with double stops and 'pedal' bends.<br><br>if you search nashville players or lessons you might get some hits.<br>let me know!]]></content:encoded>

Since that's 'standard' dobro tuning, ( and the high 4 strings are same as 5-string banjo), a bit of country is definitely coaxable from that... :wink:  :D <br>No offense intended...<br>C6 is one of the two 'standard' neck tunings on pedal steel guitar.]]></content:encoded>
