I really don't see much connection between this and the Ugly Bug Ball but now I HAVE to learn the Ugly Bug song. It's very clever.<br><br>The part I played on te organ was not inspired by NY, NY. It was the easiest thing I could play on a keyboard. I have the pump organ and a piano but rarely play either of them.<br><br>I grew up listening to Lawrence Wlk on TV (my parents choice). Welk would often start a tune with "an a one an a two". He also would say "Wunnerful" when a song was done.<br><br>I don't think all polkas have an oom pa beat but I might be wrong.]]></content:encoded>

And if you ever found my piano teacher, (assuming she's still alive) she'd tell you that I never really studied it in the first place.<br><br>More importantly, -- this was a fun read.  Sometimes silliness is just what's called for.

Thanks for reading and commenting.<br>I just left music class where we discussed <U>Roll Out The Barrel </U>transitioning from the key of C to F. The ending of the F interlude became  Bb Bb7  Gm  G#dim F D7 G7  C7  F <br><br>Actually I don't care for the lyric except for the "cosmic accordion" and "apocalyptic polka" lines. Yes, I am having trouble fitting the cut time to this. I keep playing it in 3/4 time. Thats why I haven't recorded it yet. There is a 3/4 time polka style called Polka-mazurka but I need to tweak the lyric to fit the traditional 2/4. Since it's already Saturday and we will soon be seeing 11/1, with an all new music project, this migh not get recorded.]]></content:encoded>
