Hope to give this a listen later tonight. Meant to ask you, though - have you got any of Dave Rubin's books? He's written a series of absolutely terrific tutorials for Hal Leonard called "Inside The Blues." You'd probably find any one of these books well worth your time and trouble.

I like Vic's suggestion so much I'm thinking about writing a song called Black Hole Blues! :wink:

Have you recorded this yet? If you're going with an old style blues template (and we're talking truly old acoustic style blues), then you might want to throw in a measure or two with a time signature change. In many of the early blues recordings you can hear the performer throw in a measure of two-four, three-four or even five-four simply to accomodate the vocal line. Usually this will happen right before the chord changes in standard twelve bar blues.

And Dog the 5th fret would be much better, I tried singing it up at the 7th fret and I just cant get up there especially when they start "hiring men with sticks" :lol:
