As a metaphor it doesn't seem to work that well, it almost makes love sound a little unpleasant, like an annoying drip. Or perhaps it is just reminding me of when our roof sprung a leak Actually I quite liked this line. For me it just paints a very clear picture of a lonely guy lay awake at night with a leaky roof. If anything, it feels a bit like this sums up how low the guy is feeling, the idea that he is looking for love to trickle in from wherever.

I struggle with the meter at a couple of points in this, but I don't think i'm very good at stuff like that yet. Would love to here it so i can get a feel for how you get it 2 flow :)
