Hope we can hear it someday.

SP,

Thanks for the comments. I think I agree with you about the first verse being a chorus. May have to do some rewriting here. :D

Oh yeah, If you play along, I left plenty of room for a second guitar to do some soloing etc. Taking the last two songs to my buddy's next time we jam, and see what he can add to them.

My goal is to have a decent mic and start recording some of these by the end of the year. Then I can really torture you folks. :D

My main goal was to get a playable set of chords and strumming that would give the listener the feel of an old steam engine rolling. To be honest, I think I accomplished that fairly well. (enough tooting my own horn now)

and
Gonna ride this train till I run out of track.

And the lyrics fit the tone of the song.

I have a couple of suggestions, but first just be aware that I'm not blues. I don't really listen to the blues, and I don't really get 'em, so if my ideas contradict some unwritten blues code of ethics, then just ignore them.

I think the first verse would make a good chorus... something to come back to a couple more times (or maybe even just once more at the end).

If you did go that root, though, I'd change it a bit so that the second line differs from the first (my reason being that if you're going to repeat it throughout the song, you don't want it to repeat itself).

I'm guessing there will be some solo work in the song too? Hope we can hear it someday.
