First one from me for a while. It's been a bit busy what with losing the job and getting back into paid work.

Anyway, our politicians have been hitting the news this past week or so, and it seems that every single one of them has been fiddling their expenses, especially on the Government side (the Home Secretary's husband claiming for his porno DVDs made me laugh) although there are some great stories about opposition MPs with moats round their houses and tennis court sprinkler systems (I wonder if they're covered by the hosepipe ban that we've had since the start of the drought in England LOL). Now they've been exposed by the dishcloth known as the Daily Telegraph and heads are starting to roll. It inspired me.

This is how Britain's politicians treat the people who put them where they are now.

Title: Feather the nest

Vote for me and give me all your money
That is how the system works
Don't you tell me something's smelling funny
I'm entitled to some perks

You're just a gossip column reader
I'm your elected leader
I take the blame with great panache
And in the meantime spend your cash

Rules and laws for ordinary people
Standards have got to be maintained
Fine food and champagne, coke and needle
For me to do my job and all reclaimed

If you dare to stand to have your say
I'll change the laws to make you pay
And keep it secret from the world
What you don't know doesn't hurt

No time to run the country I‘ve been busy
Making a pile at your expense
You people make me sick you're f***ing crazy
Don't dare talk to me of common sense
